Having extra accessories for your Spectra breast pump makes life so much easier, so you can always have clean parts. The wide-neck Spectra Breast Shield ( flange ) is compatible with all Spectra Breast Pumps. It is available in various sizes: 16mm, 20mm, 24mm, 28mm, 32mm. All parts are easy to assemble/disassemble, also easy to wash for your next use. Furthermore, all Spectra products that come in contact with breast milk are and always have been made without BPA, making sure your milk keeps its beneficial properties unaltered. Please note that if used intensively parts such as valves may need to be replaced after 2-3 months. This is not a flaw but represents the product‘s nature and does not constitute a claim for warranty. Recommendation: Authentic Spectra spare parts are engineered, tested, and approved to work specifically with your Spectra breast pump. Non-Spectra spare parts can vary significantly in design, materials, and workmanship; all of which may affect the performance of your Spectra breast pump. In order to avoid any issues with your breast pump, which might void your warranty, Spectra Baby strongly recommends using only original accessories along with your Spectra Breast Pump. The tubing does not require washing / sterilizing. While all other accessories need to be washed in soapy water and sterilized before 1st-time use. The silicone valve will require replacement more often than the rest of the accessories, therefore always handle it gently. Breast shields come in five sizes: 16mm, 20mm, 24mm, 28 mm, 32mm. A breast shield that’s too large or too small can greatly impact your comfort and the amount of milk you are able to pump. The size of your nipples will determine your Breast Shield size, therefore it must be properly measured for best results. After measuring, add 3-4mm to find your Breast Shield size.
